Vibeshift ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Vibeshift mobile application (the "App") on Android.

By using Vibeshift, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Vibeshift collects information necessary to provide its employee wellbeing features. The types of data we handle include:

a) Account Information

When you sign up or are invited by your organization, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your company or organization affiliation
• Authentication credentials (managed securely via Supabase Auth)

b) Wellness Assessment Data

When you complete daily check-ins, we collect self-reported wellness data such as:

• Mood, stress, sleep quality, and energy levels
• Nap and sleep duration estimates
• Optional notes and reflections

This data is used to generate personal insights for you and aggregated, anonymous trends for your organization.

c) Journal Entries

Journal entries you create within the App are private to your account. Your employer, HR team, or managers cannot access your individual journal entries.

d) Mindfulness Session Data

We track which breathing or meditation exercises you complete and for how long, to help you maintain personal streaks and progress.

e) Device & Usage Information

We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version to improve compatibility and performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core wellness features
• Generate personal wellness insights and streak tracking
• Provide aggregated, anonymous team wellness data to your organization's administrators
• Enable authentication and account management
• Improve app functionality and user experience
• Respond to customer support requests
• Comply with legal obligations when required

We do not sell your personal information. Your individual assessment responses and journal entries are never shared with your employer in identifiable form.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Vibeshift uses a combination of local and cloud storage:

• Local storage: Assessments and journals are saved locally first for offline access
• Cloud sync: Data syncs to our secure cloud infrastructure (hosted on Supabase) when you are online

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard security measures.

4. Data Sharing & Aggregation

Vibeshift provides organizational wellness insights to company administrators. This data is always:

• Aggregated: Individual responses are combined into team and department-level statistics
• Anonymous: No individual employee's responses are identifiable by managers or HR

We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

Vibeshift may rely on the following third-party services:

• Supabase (authentication and database)
• Google Sign-In (optional authentication)
• Google Play Services
• Expo (app framework and updates)
• Vercel (web dashboard hosting)

These providers may process limited data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Some aggregated, anonymous data may be retained for analytical purposes even after individual account deletion.

7. Your Rights & Controls

You may:

• Access and review your personal data within the App
• Delete individual journal entries or assessment records
• Delete your entire account and all associated data
• Contact us to request data export or correction

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
• Row-level security on database tables
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
• Regular security reviews

No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Vibeshift is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
