Vibeshift is out. The Android app is live on Google Play, the web platform is live at getvibeshift.app, and the two halves finally talk to each other in public rather than on a staging URL.

It is our first launch as a company, which makes it the first time our privacy policy has had a real legal entity's name on it. Small thing. Felt enormous.

What shipped in the app

  • The check-in. Four questions, about twenty seconds, led by a mood dial rather than a scale.
  • A wellness score and mood history on the home screen, so the person answering gets something back rather than posting into a void.
  • Journaling, private to the person writing it. It is never surfaced to an employer, in aggregate or otherwise.
  • Mindfulness exercises, short enough to actually do between meetings.
  • One-tap sign-in with Google and Apple.

The employee side: a home screen that gives something back, and a check-in short enough to keep doing.

What shipped on the web

The dashboard is the half an HR team lives in. Average mood score, participation rate, active surveys, this month's mood trend against last month's, department-level breakdowns, employee and department management, and the individual responses as they land.

What is not in this release

We would rather say this plainly than let you find out. There is no iOS app. Vibeshift runs on Android and in the browser today, and we are not going to give you a date for an iPhone build we have not started. When there is one, it gets its own post.

Also not here yet: an export we are happy with. You can read everything in the dashboard, but pulling it out as a file is thin, and thin is not good enough for something an HR team may need to hand to somebody else.

If you run a team and want to try it, the web app is open. If it breaks, tell us — we would much rather hear it from you than read it in a one-star review.
