Delete Your Account
Clear Roam
Read this first if you still own an eSIM
Deleting your account removes the record of every eSIM attached to it, including its activation code. A profile already installed on your phone keeps working until its data or its validity runs out — deleting the account does not switch it off. But you will no longer be able to see its details, re-install it from the code, check how much data is left, or ask us for help with it.
If you have a trip coming up, finish it first. If you need a copy of an activation code, ask us before you delete.
In the app — takes a few seconds
Open Clear Roam and go to the Profile tab
Tap Delete my account under Account
Confirm. Deletion happens immediately and you are signed out
Or by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email info@bearacle.com with the subject "Delete my Clear Roam account", from the address your account uses so we can tell it is you. We confirm by reply, then delete — normally within 30 days.
Signed in with Apple using Hide My Email? Write from the private relay address Apple gave you — it reaches us the same way, and it is the address on your account.
What happens to each kind of data
- Your account and email address
- Deleted. The sign-in stops working immediately and cannot be recovered.
- Your eSIM records
- Deleted — identifiers, activation codes, labels and expiry dates. An installed profile keeps running on its own until it expires; we simply no longer hold a record of it.
- Data usage figures
- Deleted along with the eSIM they belong to.
- Support requests you sent us
- Deleted, unless one is still open — in which case we close it first.
- Purchase and payment records
- Kept, because tax and accounting law requires it — typically for seven years. These are records of a sale: what was bought, when, and for how much. They are detached from your deleted account, used for nothing else, and never for marketing. Stripe holds its own payment records under its own retention rules.
- Anything cached on your device
- Removed when you uninstall the app. Deleting an installed eSIM profile is done in your phone's own cellular settings, not in the app.
If you only want a copy, or a correction
You do not have to delete everything to exercise your rights. Email the same address and ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or for us to restrict how we use it. See the Privacy Policy (iOS) or Privacy Policy (Android) for the full list.
