Clear Roam Android Application

Effective Date: September 2, 2026

Clear Roam is published by Bearacle LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what the app does and does not do with information when you use it on Android.

The short version: we hold your email address, what you bought, and the eSIMs you own. We do not track you, we do not advertise to you, we do not ask for your location, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

1. What We Collect

Only what is needed to sell you a data plan and keep it working.

Your email address
Used to identify your account, send receipts, and reply to support requests. If you sign in with Google, we receive the address on your Google account. If you sign in with your email instead, we receive only the address you type.
Your name
Only if Google passes it to us when you sign in. We do not ask for it separately and the app works without it.
Purchase records
Which plan, how many days, the price, the date, and whether the order succeeded. We need this for receipts, support, refunds, and tax.
eSIM records
The identifiers of each eSIM you own — its ICCID, its activation code, its status and expiry date, and any label you give it. These are what let the app show your eSIMs and let us help when one misbehaves.
Data usage figures
How many megabytes a plan has used out of its allowance, as reported to us by the network. This is a total, not a record of what you did online.
Support messages
If you contact us about a plan, we keep what you wrote, the reason you selected, the contact address you gave, and a snapshot of the eSIM in question, so the request stays answerable.

2. What We Do Not Collect

  • Your location. The app never asks for it and has no location permission.
  • Your card number. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our systems.
  • Advertising identifiers. The app contains no advertising and never requests the Android advertising ID, because there is nothing to track you with.
  • Analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The app ships with none. We do not know which screens you open or how long you spend in them.
  • Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, camera, or health data.

3. What Travels Over the eSIM Itself

This is worth being clear about, because it is the part people assume works differently than it does.

When you use a Clear Roam plan, your internet traffic runs over a local mobile carrier in the country you are in, exactly as it would on any SIM card. That carrier — not us — carries your traffic, and can see the same connection metadata any mobile operator sees. Local law in that country applies to it.

We do not receive, inspect, log, or store your browsing, your DNS lookups, the apps you use, or the content of anything you send. What comes back to us from the network is a usage total in megabytes, and nothing else. If you want your traffic private from the local carrier, use a VPN — the same advice applies on any network anywhere.

4. Why We Hold It

  • To perform our contract with you — creating your account, buying a profile on your behalf, delivering it, and showing you its status.
  • To meet legal obligations — tax and accounting records for the sales we make.
  • For our legitimate interests — answering support requests, investigating faults, and preventing fraud and abuse.

We do not rely on consent for advertising or profiling, because we do neither.

5. Who Else Processes It

Running the Service means a small number of companies handle some of this data on our behalf. Each of them receives only what its job requires.

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your account, orders and eSIM records live here, on servers in the European Union.
  • eSIM Access — our wholesale supplier, who issues the eSIM profiles. They receive an order reference and the plan code. We do not send them your name or email address.
  • Stripe — processes card payments and calculates sales tax. Stripe receives your payment details directly and acts as its own controller for them; see Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Resend — delivers the emails we send you about a support request.
  • Google — if you use Google Sign-In or Google Pay. Google's own privacy terms apply to what it does.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We will disclose data if we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

6. International Transfers

Bearacle LLC is a US company and our database is hosted in the European Union, so data moves between the two. Where transfers out of the EEA or UK occur, they rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

7. How Long We Keep It

  • Account details — until you delete your account.
  • eSIM records and usage figures — until you delete your account, since they are what makes an old eSIM supportable.
  • Purchase and payment records — retained after account deletion where tax and accounting law requires it, typically seven years, and used for nothing else.
  • Support requests — kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or complain to your data protection authority.

If you are in California, you may request disclosure or deletion of your personal information and may not be discriminated against for doing so. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

To exercise any of these, email info@bearacle.com, or use the Delete Your Account page. We respond within 30 days.

9. Security

Traffic between the app and our systems is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted by row-level security, so a signed-in account can read its own records and no one else's. Wholesale pricing and internal cost data are not readable by the app at all.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

10. Children

Clear Roam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page, and for a significant change we will tell you in the app.
